Bevelopment Block Grant from the U. S. Departrnent of Housing and Urban Deve].opment,
among the purposes of which are to eliminate blight and improve housing conditions for
low and moderate income families within the project area generally known as Chapmantown; anfl
WHEREAS9 the Board has recei~red a recommendation from its Community Developmen~
Consultant that cer~.ain real property be acquired~ consistent w.i.~th the goals and objectives
of the block grant program, for ~he purpose of effecting the removal of residential
b7~.ght; and
G~EIEREAS, the county, following the uniform policies and requirements estab73.shed
in the HUD Rea1 Propert~ Acquisition Handbook 1320.1, has made appropriate efforts to
identify the best quali£ied appraisers in a nondiscriminatory manner~ whose serva.ces
might be utilized in obtaining competent appraisals.
NOW~ 7i~IEREFORE~ BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of
Butte as follows, to wit:
1. That the Caurzty o£ Butte shall enter into contract ~nri.th Joseph Ttiilliams for
appra~sal and review appraisal services~ for properties shown on Exhibit "A", attached hereto.
2. 7`hat the County Administrative Officer is authorized to execute such contract
for and on behalf of the county for an amount not to exceed $~.75•00.
