WFEEREAS, a serious deficit exists in the County Schools
Service Fund; and I
WHEREAS, said deficit occurred because of underestima~ion
of the revenues needed by the County Superin~endent of Schools
Offices; and '
WHEREAS, if said deficit is not made up'„ the potential
exis~s for c7osing down the operation of the County Superintendent
of Schools Offices. '
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLUED as follows:
l. That the Butte County Board of Supervisors hereby
urges the Californ~a State Legislature ~o correct the serious
deficit in the County Schools Service Fund; and
2. That copies of this Resolut~on be sent to the Honorable
Ray Johnson, State Senator, and to such other individuals as the
Baard may direct. '

this 3rd day of April, 1979 by the fol7owing vote:
