TO SUBMIT AN APPLICATION FOR THE INNOVATIVE GRANTS PROGRAM
TdHE~AS, the Counfiy of But*e is conducting a Housing and Community
Aevelopment program in ~he Chapmantown communi*y; and, '
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors is fu1~y comm~tted to up~ra~ing said
neighborhood b~ eliminatinQ conditions of blighr and improving housing conditions,
as we11 as expanding lower and moderate-income housing opporCUniCies, and;
idI3EREAS, funds are neede~ Co promoCe said goals while avoiding residen*ial
dislocaCion which is sometimes associ.aCed with neighborhbod reviCalization
programs, and; '
WHEREAS, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban DeveloPment has invited
applica}ions for an Innovative Grants Program, which program is designed to provide
€unds £or neighborhood zevitalization programs wh~ch expand housing opportunitzes and
upKrade nezghborhood and housing conditions while avoiding dislocation of residents.
NOW, THEREFORE~ BE TT RESOLVE- as follows:
1. The County Administrative Officer is authorized Yo submzt an
application £or said Innovative Gran~ Program.
2. The County Administrative Officer is authorized to sign assurances
dea3:irag with affirmative action policies, wage and Zabor standards
and such o+-her assurances as may be required by the Department of
Housing and Urban Development for submittal of the app7.zcatzon.
