FORMA'TION COMMISSION REGARDING PROPOSAL FOR ESTABLISHMENT OF
COUNTY SERVICE AREA NDMBERS b3, 64, 65 and 66 (ST~T_LZGxms)
WHEREA,S, the Board of 6upervisors of the County of Butte intends to
consider a proposal for the estab7.ishment of County Service Areas.for street
ligh~s, the boundaries of which are hereinafter described; and
WkIEREAS, no proceedings for the establishment of such service areas
sha7_1 be instituted by this Board or requested by its members until approval of
the Local Agency formation Commission is £irst obtained.
NOW, TI~REFORE, BE I'~ RESOLVED AND ORDERED BY TkIE BUTTE COUNTY BOARD
OF SUPERVISORS, as follows:
1. Application and a proposal is hereby made ~o the Loca7. Agency Formation
Commiss2on in accordance with the Knox-Nesbit Act, begiru~ing with Goversunent Code
Section 5i+-773, for establishment of County Service Area Numbers 63, 64, 65 and 66.
The exterior boundaries of the-proposed 5ervice Areas are described in Exhibit "A"
attached hereto and made a part hereof by this reference.
2. Establishment of said Service Areas is proposed under County Service
Area Law fChapte~ 2.2, Part 2, Division 2, Title 3 of the Government Code beginning
with Section 25210.'I). The type of extended service proposed to be provided is
street lights.
3. The Clerk of Ehe Board is authorized and directed to file a certified
copy of this resolution with the Execu~ive Officer of the Butte Coun~y Local Agency
Formation Commission.
