the interest of the county ~o amend the personnel rules.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the Board of Supervisors
of the County of Butte hereby amends Section 13.10(e) of the
personnel rules of the County of Butte to read as follows:
e. Expenses for Mileage
any officer or employee who has received
authorization to use a private~y-owned vehicle
for county business shall be reimbursed at a
rate of (20} twenty cents for each mile
driven on county business du~Tng the month.
Any officer or employee, except Board and
Commission members specified in these rules,
who during any month is authoriz~d and prov~des
a privately-owned vehicle for county use in
excess of (5) five working days during the
mon~h shall receive ($20) twenty doTlars
for the firs~ (lOQ) one-hundred miles or
portion ~hereof of miles traveled on county
business. Such of~icers and employees sha17
receive in add9t9an after the first (100~
one-hundred miles per month, (20) twenty
cents a mile for all other ~iles traveled
on county business during the month.
The County Adm~nistrative Officer shall develop
ruies and procedures for the authorization of
vehicl~ use under this section. Such procedures
shall provide for the written departmental
justification of need, written mileage records
certified by the department and the employee,
periodic review of travel needs by the department
and the type and condition of vehicZe authorized
for county use.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of S~pervisors
this 19th Day of June, 1979, by the following vote to be effective
