HomeMy WebLinkAbout79-123RESOLUTION INYTIATING PROCEEDINGS FOR THE REORGANIZATTpT~T OF TffE AREA WITHIN THE PARADYSE FIItE PROT~CTION DISTRZCT WHEREAS, the BuCCe Coun.ty Local Agency k'orraatian Commission has considered and approved a proposal for the reorganization of the area co~ermix~.ous with the Paradise Fire Protection District boundaries and named the Butte County Soard of Supervisors as the conducting authority for the reo~'ganizatiion proceedings; and WHEREAS, Che proposal calls for incorporation of the area coCermin.ous wi.th the Paradise Fire Protection District which will dissolve existing County Service Areas No. 13, 38, 49 and proposed County Service Areas No. 64 and 65, pursuant to the provisions of Government Code §25210.90, and for dissolution of the existing Paradise Fire Protection District; and WHEREAS, preliminary proceedings were initiated by l~esoluti.on of this Board of Supervisors; and WHEREAS, thzs xeo~'ganizata~on is pxoposed in order to main- tain or increase the level o~ muni.c~.pal sezvices wi.thin. the area; and WHEREAS, puzsuant to Govex-nmen.t Code §56430, a public hearing shall be set. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED .f-~ND ORbEP.~D by tk~.e Butte County Board of Supervisors as follows: l. A public hearing on this reorganization proposal sha11 be held orc Tuesday, July 31, 1979, at 8:00 p.m., in the Paradise Jus~ice Court, 747 Elliott Road, Paradise, Cali~oznia. 2. Any interested person desiring to make written protest agains~ said reorganization proposal skzall do so by written communi- cation ~iled with the Clerk of the Board of Butte County no later than 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 3~., 1979. A written protest by a landowner shall contain a descriptioz~. sufficient to identify the land owned by him. A written px'otest by a voter shall contain the residential address of such votez.
