AS THE•SOCIAL S~RVICES PLANNING AGENCY PURSUANT 70
SECTION 10132 OF WELFRRE AN~ INSTITUTIONS CODE
WH~BEAS, AB 1642 chaptered as Chapter 7235 added Section 10132 to
the California Welfare and Institutions Code, and
WHEREAS, this leg~slation, known as Ca7ifornia Soc3ai Services
Planning Act and s~ates in part that the county welfare department shall
be responsible for ~ul~illing planning requirements for the county unless
another agency is so designated by the county board of supervisors, and
WHEREAS, under this law, Social Services is de~7ned to include all
programs and activities which are funded, in whole or in part, by Title XX
of the Social Security Act and are administered by the County We7fare Depart-
ment under the supervision of the State Department of Social Services, or are
administered by the State Department of Social Services and provided by one of
its organizational components or local provider agencies, or are provided by
other depart~ents of State government through contractual arrangement with
the S~ate ~epartment of Social Services.
NOW, TH~REFORE, be it resalved by the Board of Supervisors af the
County of Butte, that the Butte Cpunty Department of Soc~al We1.fare is
designated as the ~ounty ~epartment responsible for Social Services P7anning
~or Butte County under the pravisions of AB 1642 and We1fare and Institutions
Cflde Section 10132.
