TO ABANDON A 1'UBLIC HIGHWAY
WHEREAS, this Board has received a peti.ti.on from Ralph D.
Brown and others requesting the abandonment of a public ha.ghway
(to wit, a portion of V-4 Road) as desczi~bed below; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Streets and Highways Code §958 this
Board sha1l set a date for a hearing on the petition for abandonment.
NOW, THEREFORE, B~ TT ~2ESOLV~D by this Board:
1. That this Board hereby gives notice that at a~ts regular
meeting on August2l , I979, ar ]O:15 a.m., in the Boa~d
Chambers, Butte County Administration ~uilding, OroviJ.l~e, Cali.~ornia,
a hearing sha11 be heZd on.the abandonment of the fo~.J.owing descr~.bed
public highway:
That portion of V-4 Road, as shown on the map of
Villa Verona recorded January 17, 1889 on Wall Map
~k12, County of Butte, State of Californfa, lying
between Blocks 28 and 27 on the north and Block 30
on the South, more partic~larly described as follows:
Being a strip of land 60 feet wide, lying 30 feet on
each side o~ the following described center~.ine:
Beginning at a point in the Southerly boun.dary o£
Lot 6 of said SZock 2S from which the Southeast
corner thereof bears South 89° 21' East, I34.42 ~eet;
said point o~ beginning being also the Southwest
corner of Parcel I. as described in Deed executed by
WaJ.ter W. Tyrrell, et ux, to Henry L. Jackson, et ux,
recorded 1~~arch 21, 1950, in Book 529 of Butte County
Official Records, at page 193; thence from said point
of beginning and running East along the centerLine of
said V-4 Road to the West line of the Ryder Tract,
recorded January 14, 1964, in Book 30 of Maps of
Recard at pages 19 and 20, County o~ Butte. Said
centerline is approximately 0.4 miles in length.
2. That this Resoluta.on be posted and published pursuant
to the pro~crisions of Streets and Hzghways Code §958.
