This Board appraves that certain agreement between the
Coun~y of Butte and Max Albert.for services as Psoject--Engin?er
for Rancho de Thunder Assessmer~t District, da~ed the 24th of July,
1979, and attach~d to this ~esoluta.on.
The Chairman af the Boaxd o~ Supervi5ors is autharized to
siqn ~he agreement and the Coun~y C~.erk .~s authorized ~o attest its
execution,.

This is an agreement for engineering s~rv~ces be~ween the COUNTX
OF BUTTE, a palitica~ subdivision af the Stat~ o~ Californaa ("Co~.nty"},
and MAX AL~ERT ("Proj~c~ Engineer"),.
W~~ T N E~5 ~" E T H:
That for antli.n consideration o~ the mutual covenants and agreements
herain contaxned, the parties hereto agree as follows:
l. County proposes to initiate sp~cia~. assessment proceedings
fo~ the canstruction of improvements in thE Rancho de Thunder Assessment
District, County of But~e, California.
2. Caunty emp7.oys Praject Engineer for the dning of aI.l. necessary
work and exercising a11 enga.n~ering functions provided for by th~ pro-
visions of the Mun~cipa]. Improvement Act of 1913 in connection with the
said improvements ~o be made in said district. Said services sha~~.
include th~ fol~owing:
a. Doa.ng of all necessary engineering work and ex~rcis~.ng
a11 engineering functions provided fiar undar the provisions
of ~he Municipal Improvement Act o~ ~9'13;
b. Preparation and furni~hing o£ all surveys, original.
drawingsr maps and b~.ueprints, plans and specificat~.ans,
preparation of assessment roll, assessment diagram and ~
any and a~~ othe~ services which may be required under
the provisions of the said Municipa~ Iinprovement Act of
1913;
c. Supervision and directian of al~ engineexing work requir~d
to be taken by Caunty or its atficers, agents or empZoyees,
i.n connection with said improvem~nt. Said duti~s sha].l
~.nc~ude ~urnishing, on or before the date fa.~ed fo~ filing
of the Engi.ne~r's Report, a list o~ the names and addresses
of aZl proper~.y owners w~~hin the bo~xndar~es of the district
as shown, an the ~as~ eq~alized roll ~or taxes or-as known
to ~he Project Engineer.

Said ~ist shall include coordination of the name and
address with ~he assessment and diagram number, and the
prop~r description of the proper~y or th~ County Auditor's
parcel number of each lot, piece or parceZ of ~and shown
on the assessment diagram, wh~n appropriate.
d. Rendition of g~neral consu~tation and;advice ~a County,
~ts officers, agents or employees with respec~ to the
planning, preparation and handling af all engineering
phases of ~he aforesaid p~oceedings;
e. Attendanc~ at such conferences and public meetings with
Coanty as may be reasonab~y necessary to p~r~orm th~s
~~ contract of emp~oyment.
3. Pro~ec~ Engine~r shal~ rece~ve compensation far the abave
s.ervices in the amount of $5,5D0.00. This amount sha~.~ be pazd by
~he County au~ of the proceeds o~ assessments levied and bonds to be
issued in said proceedings.
4. In the event ~hat ~he proceedings ar~ not carried through to
conclusion, or shall be abandon~d, ~hen th~ Px'oject ~ngineer sha11
receive nothing.
