WHEI~EAS, -the Board of Supervisors o~' the County of Butte intends to
consider a proposal for the establishment of County Service Areas £or street
lights, the boundaries of which are hereinafter described; and
WHE€iEAS~ no proceedings for the establishment of such service areas
shal~. be ~.nstituted by this Board or requested by its members until approval
of the Local Agency Formation Commission is first obtained.
NOW, TH~?.E~RE~ BE ZT RESOLVED AND ORDERED BY T!-IE BUTTE COUNTY BOARD
OF SCTPEA,VISORS, as fol].ows:
1. Application and a proposal is hereby made to ~he Local Agency
Forma~ion Commission in accordance with the Knox-~+Tesbit Act, beginning with
Government Code Section 5t~773, for establishment of County Sexvice Area Numbers
b7-71~. The exterior boundaries o#' the proposed servi.ce areas are described in
Exhibi~ "A" attached hereto and made a part hereo£ by tk~is re~erence.
2. Estab~.a.shment of said service areas is proposed ander County
Servi.ce Area Law (Chapter 2.2~ Part 2~ Division 2~ Title 3 of the Grovernment
Code beginna.ng wa.th Section 24210.1~. The type of extended service proposed
to be provided is street I.ights.
3. The Clerk of the Board 9.s authorized and directed to file a
certified copy of this resolution w~th the Executive Officer of the Butte County
Local Agency Formation Commi.ssion.
Passed and adopted by the Butte County Board of Supervisors on this
21st day of August, 1979, by the fol.lowing vote:
