This matter came on regularly for hearing before the
Board of Supervisors of the County o~ Butte, State of California,
on August 21 , 1979, in the Board Chambers, Butte County
Administration Building, Oroville, California, and it appearing to
said Board that a Notice of Time and Place of Hearing of said
Abandonment was duly and regularly given as required by Iaw, and
testimony and evidence, ho~h oral and dacumen~arq, having been
produced at said hearing, from which said Board now finds that the
hereinafter described Public Highway (to wit, a portion of V-4 Road}
is unnecessary for present or prospective public use.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY ORDERED as fol~.ows:
1. That the public highway situated in the County of Butte,
State of California, as hereinafter more particular7.y described, is
hereby abandoned.
2. That the description of said public highway so abandoned
is situated in the County of Butte, State of California, and more
particularly described as follows:
That portion of V-4 Road, as shown on the map of
Villa Verona recorded January 17, 1889 on Wall Map
~~12, County of Butte, State of California, lying
between Blocks 28 and 27 on the north and Slock 30
on the South, more particularly described as fol~.ows:
Being a strip o~' land 60 feet wide, lying 30 feet on
each side of the following described centerline:
Beginning at a point in the Southerly boundary of
Lot 6 of said Block 28 from which the Southeast
corner thereof bears South 89° 21' East, ].34.42 feet;
said poznt of beginning bein.g a~.so the Southwest
corner of Parcel 1 as described in Deed executed by o,
Waltez W. Tyrrell., et ux, to Henry L. Jackson, et ux, ~
recorded March 21, 1950, in ~ook 529 of Bu~te County ~
0£~zciaJ. Recozds, at page 193; ~hence from said point ~}a
of beginning and ~unning East along the centerline of C.~
said V-4 Road to the West line of ~he Ryder Tract, ~
recorded .7anuary 1~, 1964~, in Book 30 of Maps of ~
Reco~d at pages 19 and 20, County of Butte. Said ~.
centerline 9.s appraximate~.y 0.4 miles in length. ~

3. That the Clerk of this Board sha11 cause a certified
copy of this Resolution, with ~he seal of the Board of Supervisors
o~ the County o£ Butte, State of California, to be recorded in the
office of t~e Recorder of the County of Butte, Sta~e of California.
