WHEREAS, this Board w9.shes to recognize the 7.ong and d9.ligent work the
members of the American Society of C3vi1 Engineers, Student Chaptet, California
State University, Chico, performed on September 20, 25 and 27, 1979; and
Wi-EEREAS, this Board feels that each member of said Society should be
commended for his and her diiigent ~,*ork; and
WHEREAS, the result of the in€ormation accumulated by the Society ~aill
enabZe this County to shoca a need for additional street signals at East Avenue
and the Esplanade and Lassen Avenue and the Esplanade,

That this Board extends its sincere appreciation to the members of the
Ameri~an SncieCq of Civ~.l Engineers, Student Chapter, CaZifornia State University,
Chico, £or Cheir concern and interest in improving tra£fic conditions in the City
of Chico, specifically the areas of ~ast Avenue and the Esplanade and T.assen Avenue
and the Esplanade.
