regular meeting on January 22, I980; and
WHEREAS, Paragraph 6 of Resolutiori 80-19 direc~s Che
Director of Public Works to paint a crosswalk on County Center
Drive; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works has advised this
Board of his concern as a traffic engineer that a crosswalk
across County Center Drive in the place designated in the afore-
mentioned resolution would create a traffic hazard in that
pedestrians would rely upon the crosswalk. This Board has also
been advised that crosswalks situated in similar places have not
been protective of pedestrians but rather,to the contrary, have
led to accidents where the pedestrians have relied upon the
crosswalk for their protection.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by this Board that the
last sentence of Paragraph 6 of Resolution 80-19 is hereby
deleted.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Sutte County Board of Supervisors
this 5eh day o~ February , 1980, by the following vote:
