BE ~T RESOLVED pursuant to ~he Bu~~e Coun~y Code Section
21-54, that Rule $ of tihe Ru1es o~ the Assessment Appea~.s Board for
Butte Coun~.y is amended ~o read as fal~.ows:
$. REQUEST ~'OR FZNDINGS. T~ an applican~ or the Assessor desires
written findings of fa~t, his request must b~ in wr~ting and submitted
to the C].erk before commencement a~ tt-e hearing. The requesting party
may abandon the request and waive fzndxngs a~ ~he conclusion a~ the hearing.
If the requesting party abandons hi.s request a~ ~his time, the other party
may oralZy or in wxit~.ng renew the request. The County shall xmpase a
fae of ten dal~,axs {$10), for each parcel on the secured roll and each
assessment on ~he unsecured roll, ar a~ora3, of $Sfl for find~ngs on
cont~.guous parcel.s or assess~nents on the ro11. invol.ving the same issues
and owners, for prov~.d~.ng this dacument to an applxcant who made the
initial request or renewed the request upon abandonment by the assessor,
The county must provide findings within ~5 days after the fa.nal de~ermina~3.on
o~ ~he Board, and sha~l accompany the~ witY- a notice tY-at a request for
a transcxip~ of ~he heari.ng must be made with~.n 6Q d.aqs afrer the determina~3.on.
When written findings af fact are made, they sha~1 fairly discxase th~
Board's findings on a11 ~tater3.aZ po~.n~s raised in tihe app~ication and at
~he hearing. The f~ndings sha~.I also include a s~ateinen~ o£ ~he method or
methods of valuat~on used in det~:rmining the fu11. cash value of the property,
and shall be made timely after the hearing,

Appeals Board for Butte County ~.s amended ta read as fo~.lows:
].2. PROCEEbYNGS RECORDED. A11 proceedings of the Assessment Appeals
Board sha11 be elec~ron3.ca1.].y record~d un].~ss ~.he applicant requests a
stenographic reporter. 'The stenographic reportie~ sha11 be at the expense
of the app~icant. If ~he applicant desxres the Cl~rk to axranga ~or a
reportier, t~e request sha1~ be submit~ed to the Clerk in writing aC
least five {5) days before ~he heaxing a$75 shall be depas~ted with ~he
County C1erk a~so five (5} days pr~or to the heari~g. ~f transcript is
requ~sted by the applicant, tihe applicant shall pay for an original and
one capy, and ~he oxiginal and one copy sha~~ be filed with the Countiy
C1erk. Any parsan may purchase a tiranscript of tha proceedings upon
payment of ~he cost ~hereof. Any request for a transcript af the praceedings
must be made within sixty (60) days following the data of the ~ina~
determination of the Board. The Assessor o~ the CounCy may request a
reporter ati the cost of ~he County.
