HomeMy WebLinkAbout80-052WHEREAS, Che E1 Medio Fire Protection District Board of Directors has passed a resolution and ozdinance cal~ing for an election for the puzpose of adopting a special tax ~or fire protec- tion and fire preverkti.on services, said election to be held on Tuesday, June 3, 1980; and WHEREAS, the E1 Medio Fire Pro~ection District Board of Directors has requested the Butte Covnty Board of Supervisors ~o order the consolidation o~ the aforesaid election ~aith the State of California Direct Pr~mary Election to be held on Tuesday, 3une 3, I980. NOW, THEREFORE, BE I'T ORDERED A~ID RESOLVED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors, State of Californ.i~a, as follows: 1. That the aforesaid election called bp the E1 Medio Fire Protection District Board ot Directors sha11 and. the same is hereby consolidated with the State of CaZifornia Direct Primary E~ection to be held on Tuesday, June 3, 1980. 2. That in th,e area a~fected by this consolidation order, the election should be held in all respects as Chough there was only one election and the County Clerk of the County of Bt~ttte is hereby ordered and directed to provide accordingly within, the territory a~fected by said consol.idation, the election precincts, polling places and voting booths for said electidn hereby consoli.dated and to provide for one set of election officers in each of rhe precincts affected by this consolidation order. 3. That rhe County Clerk is further ordered and directed to set forth in each form of ballot and sample ballot, to be used in said consolidated election, znsofar as applicable, the bal~ot measure for said E1 Medio F~re Protection District, to mail to the qualified electors of the district and the appropriate sample ballots and polling place cazds signed by said County Clerk relating to said ORDER AND R~SOLUTION PROVIDING FOR THE CONSOLIDA- TTON OF AN $LECTION TO ADOPT A SPECIAL TAX FOR THE EL MEDiO FIRE PROTECTION DISTRiCT ~OR FIRE PROTECTION AND ~IRE PREVENTION SERVTCES WITH THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DIRECT PRIMARY EL~CTION TO BE HELD ON TUESDA'Y', JUNE 3, ~980 election and to provide absenr voter ballots for said election and said State Direct Primary Election consolidated therewith for the use by qualified elec~ors o£ the district who may be entitZed thereto as provided by law. 4. That the County Clerk shal~ canvass or cause to be canvassed the return of said dis~rict electzon and shall certity sazd canvass of the votes cast to the d~strzct. 5. That the County Clerk is ~urther authorized to charge to the district the expense of the electzon or elec~ions attributable to said district.
