consider a proposal for the establishment of a County Service Area for street
lights and drainage, the boundary of which is hereinafter described; and
WHEREAS, no proceedin~s for the establishment of such service area
shall be instituted by this Board or required by its members until approval of'
the Loca7. Agency Formation Commission is first obtained. ,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT 1?~SOLVED AND ORDERED BY THE BUTTE COUNTY BOARD
OF SUPERVZSORS, as fol.lows:
1. Appl.ication and proposal is hereby made ta the Local Agency Formation
Commission in accordance with the Knox-Nesbit Act, beginning with Government Code
Section 54773, for the establishment of a County Service Area Number 76. The
exterior boundaries of the proposed service area are described in Exhibit "A"
attached hereto and made a part hereof by this reference.
2. Establishment of said service area is proposed under County Service
Area Law (Chap~er 2.2, Part 2, Division 2, Title 3 of the Government Code beginning
wi~h Section 25210.1). The type of extended service proposed to be provided is
street lights a.nd storm drainage.
3. The Cl.erk of ~he Board is authorized and directed to file a certified
copy of this resolution with the Executive 0£ficer of the Butte County Local Agency
Formation Commission.
Passed and adopted by the Butte County Board of Supervisors on this 29th
day of April e ~980, by the following vote:
