WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of the County of Sut~e has
determined that for the efficient operation of the Office of the Chico
MunicipaT Court, the necessity has arisen for the establishment of a
Revo1ving Fund.
4JNEREAS, the Government Code of the State of California, Sections
29320 et seq and more particularly 71267 provide for the establishment
of such funds.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE TT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS af
the County of Butte, State of California, as follows:
1. That there 3s determined to be a necessi~y ~or ~he es~ab-
lish~ent of a revolving fund ~n the Office of the Chico Munic~pal Court
for the purpose of mak~ng change when carrying on ~he business o~ the
court.
2. That the amount of ~he revolving fund shal~ be the sum of
One Hundred and Fifty Dol7ars ($~50.00), and which wil~ consist of Fifty
Dollars ($50.00) previously au~horized by Minute Order July 23, 1956 and
a One Hundred Dollar (~100.00) increase which is here~n authorized.
3. That this fund is established in accordance with Sections
29320 et seq of the Gavernment Code of the Stata of California, and that
certified cop~es of the Reso]u~ion shall be transmitted to the County
Auditor and the County Treasurer.
4. That the County Administrator is instructed pursuant to
Sec~ion 29323 of the Government Code of the State of California, to amend
by endorsement b~e blanket fidelity bond of the county to be cond~tfoned,
in addition to its other provisions, u~on the faithful adm~nistratlon of
the revolving ~~nd and upon the wi119ngness and ability of the principal
for whom such a fund has been establ~shed to account for and pay over
the fund upon demand of the Board af Superv~sors a~ any time.

5. The Auditor of the County of Butte is hereby authorized
and directed to issue a warrant in the sum of One Hundred Dollars ($100.00)
in favor of the Chico Municipal Court of the Cou~ty of Butte from the
County Ge~eral Fund.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 6th day of May, 1980, by the Butte
County Soard of Supervisors by the following vote:

A req~aest has been received fram the Cl~ico Municipa~ Court to ~ncrease
their change fund of $50 to ~150., We have reviewed th~s request with ~he
Aud~~or's Of~Fice who believ~ that ~t is necessary as the court has been
exper~encing d7ff9culty in ~he operatian of th~ir pres~n~ change fund in
the amount of $~0. The on7y other al~ernat~ve ava~lahle wau7d be to have
court em~Toyees travel several times a day to neighborir~g banks for a cash
exchange. This a7ternative wo~1d not on1y endanger the securi~y of an
etn~~oyee and the c~ange fund, hut waU1d a~sa waste valuab1e emp1ayee time
to the co~rt.
The action requested of yaur Board is to authorize an increase of $100
~r~ the change fttnd to $150.
