FROM THE COUNTY AUDITOR
TO THE COUNTY SUPERINTENDENT OF SCHOOLS
WHEREAS, the Butte Covnty Board of Supervisors has, pursuan~
to Education Gode Section 1080, transferred specified educational
funetions to the County Board of Education; and,
WHEREAS, a singl.e budget has been authorized for the purposes
of the County School Service Fund; and,
WHEREAS, Education Code Section 1604 provides that the County
Superintendent of Schools sha11 sign warrants drawn on the County
School Sezvice Fund providing the Board has transferred educational
fv.nctions to the Board o£ Education in accordance witlz Section 1080;
and,
WHEREAS, Education Code Section 42649 provides ~har the
County Superintendent of Schools shall, if authoxized by the Board of
Supervisors, assume the responsib~.l~.~y £or ce~tain functions of the
County Auditor relating to the exaininati.on, allowance and signing of
school district warrants; and,
WHEREAS, Education Code Section 85265.5 provides that the
County Superintend~e~t of Schools sha~l, i~ au~Choz~.zed by the Board
of Supervisors, assume the responsibility for certain functions
performed by the County Auditor relatin.g to the examination, allowance
and signing of warran~s dxawn an Com.munity College funds;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that pursuant to Education
Code Sections 1604, /~2649 an.d 85265.5, the County Superintend~nt of
Schools is authorized to perform those func~ions of the County Auditar
therein described rel.atinp to the examination, allowance and signing
of warrants drawn on the County School Service ~und, school district
funds, and Commun.ity College funds maintained in the County Treasury,
effective with warrants dated subsequent to June 30, 1980.
