WFfEREAS, there now exists a cooperative agreement between the County of
Butte and the Division of ~orestry of the State of California for the handling
of fire controT and fire suppress3on within the unincorporated ~imits {excl~ading
Fire ~fstricts) vf Butte County; and
WHEREAS, W311iam C. Teie is in charge of fire con~rol ~nder said cooperative
agreement in the County of But~e, he having the designatied title as State Forest
Ranger and paid by the State of California; and
WHEREAS, from time to time there ar~ses local administrative problems
concerning fire cantrol and fire prevention in Butte County which is not
necessarily a part of the cooperative agreement between the County af Butte and
the State of California, and is desirable to have what is known as a Caunty Fire
Warden, and that William C. Teie, State Forest Ranger in charge of the cooperative
fire control with the State of California should act as County Fire Warden in
matters pertaining soieiy to local admin~stration, and sha1T appoint such
assistants end deputies, also on a non pay basis, as he sees fit.
N0~l, TiIEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED ANp ORDERED that William C. Teie, State Forest
Ranger be, and he is hereby appointed, County Fire Warden of the County of Butte.

State of California, this I5th day of July, 1980 by ttte fo1lowing vote:
