RESOLUTION OF TNE COUNTY BflARq OF SUPERVISORS
WHEREAS, the County of Butte desires to undertake a certain
projec~ designated Butte County Victim ~litness Program to be funded, in
part, from funds made availab]e through Chapter 713, 1979 Statutes (Ca1i~Fornia
Victim/Witness Assistance Proqram administered by the Office of Criminal
Justice Planning, hereafter referred to as (}CJP).
NOW, T}iEREFORE, BE I'F RESQLVED tha~ the Ch~ef Probation Off~cer
of the Butte County Pt^obatian Department is authorized, on ~ts behalf, to
submit the attached application for state f~ands for ~he purposes of the
Victim/tditness Assistance Program and is authorized to execute on behaif of
Butte County Probation Department, the attached contract for Victirr~/Wi~ness
Assistance Program purposes including any extensions or amendments thereof.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVEp that state funds received hereunder shall
not be used to supplant local funds that wouid, in the absertce af the
California Victim~Witness Assistance Program, be made available to suppor^t
the assistance of victims and witnesses of crime.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution shall superrede
Resolu~ion 80-129 heretofore adopted on June 17, 198Q.
PASSED AND ADOPTE~ by the Butte Coanty Board of Supervisors ~his
29tih day of 3uly , 198Q, by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Dolan, Moseley, Wheeler and Chairman Lemke
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
NOT VOTING: Supervieor wins
