ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS ASSOCI,ATION INITIATIVE MEASURE AND
THE COMMI~'TEE FOR INITIATIVE TO PRESERVE FARM LAND

WHEREAS, the Governing Boaxd o~ the CYcico Area Recreation
and Park District has passed a resolution cal~izcg £or an election
for the purpose of electing members of the Governing Board for the
next term, said election to be held on November 4, 1980; and
WfiEREAS, the Governing Board of the Durham Recreation and
Park District has passed a resolution calling far an electa.on for
the purpose ot electing members of the Governi~zg Board for the
next term, said election to be held on November 4, 1980; artd
WHEREAS, the Governing Board of the Feather River Recreation
and Park District has passed a resoiution calling for an election
for the purpose of electing members of the Governing Board for the
next term, said election to be held on November 4, 1980; and
WHEREAS, the Governing Soard of the Paradise Recrea~ion and
Park District has passed a resolution calling for an elecrion for
the purpose of electing members of tha Governing Board tor the
next term, said election to be held on November 4, 1.980; and
WHEREAS, the Governing Board of the Richvale Recreation and
Park District has passed a resolution calling for an election for
the purpose vf electing members of the Governing Board for the next
term, said election to be held on November 4, 1980; and

WHEREAS, the Gavezn~.ng Soard of the Paradise Irrigation
District has passed a resolution calling tor an election for the
purpose of submiC~ing to the voters the measure of issuino revenue
bonds for imp~ovements in the distric~C's water system and calling
for a special loan contract election, said election to be held on
I3ovember 4, 1980; and
WH~R~AS, the Chico City Cot~.ncil has passed a resolution
calling for an. election for the purpose of submitting to the voters
the question of the abandonraent and vacating of Chestnut Street.
between West Second and West Thi~d Streets in the City of Chico,
said election to be held on November 4, 1980; and
WHEREAS, the Oroville City Couzzc~l has passed a zesolution
cal~ing for an election for the purpose of sub~nitting to the voters
a question concerning the increase of Che ~i~q's tzansient occupancy
tiax, said election to be held on November 4, 1980; and
Wk1~R~AS, ~he Coun.ey of But~e has passed a resolu~ion cal.ling
for an election for ~he purpose of submztting to the voters the
Butte County Law Enforcement Officers Assoc.iation's initiative
measure, said e~.ection to be held on November 4, ~980; and
WHEREAS, the County of Butte has passed a rasolution calling
fo~ an election for the purpose of submitting to the voters the
Committee for Initiative to Preserve Farm Land initiative rneasure,
said election to be held on November 4, 1980; and
W#iEREAS, each of the aforesaid governing boards have requested
the Board o~ Supervisors.of the County of Butte to order the consoli-
dation of each of the aforesaid elections with the State Geneza~
Election to be held on Tuesday, November 4, I980;
NOW, THEREFORE, SE IT ORDERED AND R~SOLUED by the Board of
Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of California, as follows:
1. Tha~ the aforesaid elections called by the aforesaid
governing boards for November 4, 1980, and by the Board of Supervisors,
sha3~l be and the same are hereby consolidated with the State General

Election to be held on Tuesday, November 4, 198Q
2. That in the areas affected by this consolidation
order the election shauld be held in all respects as though there
was only one election and the County C1erk of the County of Bu~te
is hereby ordered and directed to provi~e accordingly within rhe
territory affected by said consolidation, the election precincts,
polling places and voting booths for each of said elections hereby
consolidated and to provide for only one set of election officers in
each of the precincts affected by this conso~idation order.
3. That the County Clerk is further ordered and directed
to set fort~ in each form of ballot and sample baliot, to be used
in said conso~idated elections, insofar as applicable, the ballot
measure for said Governing Board members, the Paradise Irrigation
D~strict's measure of issuing revenue bonds for special improvements
in ~he district's water sys~em and calling for a special loan contract
election, the City of Chico's abandonment and vacating measure, the
City of Oroville's transient occupancy tax measure, the County of
Butte's ini~iative measures, to mail to the qualified electors of
the respective districts and the appropriate sample ballots and
poiling place cards signed by said County C1erk relating to said
election and to provide absent voter ballots for said elections
and said State General Election consolidated therewith for the use
by qualified elec~ors of the respective districts who may be entitled
thereto as provided by Zaw.
4. That the County Clerk shall canvass or cause to be
canvassed the return of sa~d d~str~ct e~ections and sha11 certify
said canvass of the votes cast to the respective governin~ boards.
5. That the County Clerk is fur~her authorized to charge
to the respective districts the expense of the election or elections
attributable to said d~st~icts.
