RESOLUTION OF TITE COUNTY OF BUTTE ANIVEXING TERRITORY TO
COUN2Y SERVTCE AREA N0. 23 ~PLEASANT VALLEY DRAINAGE DISTRICT)
l1HEREAS, John D. Drake, Tom Du~'our, Aavid 0. Jeffries, Ingrid DuFour
ar~d the City of Chico have a].l petitioned the Local Agency Formation Commission
£or inclusion o£ their parce].s within the Pleasant Valley Drainage District; and
WHEREAS, the Butte County Loca3. Agency Foxmation Commission has
approved this annexation and designated it: 80-18 CSA #23 Pleasan'~ Val~.ey
Drainage District Annexation - Foothill Park Unit No. 1, t`he exterior boundaries
of which are described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof
by this reference; and
WHEl?EAS', the Butte County Local Agency Formation Commission has
du~.y approved and authorized the Board of Supervisors to annex such territory
without notice and hearing by the Board and without an election; and
WfiEREAS, the territory is uninhabited; and
WHEREAS, the reason for this~..annexation petition is to provide storm
drainage; and
WHEREAS, the City of Chico has heretofore filed with this Boar.d their
consent that a portion of the ci~y may be included within the boundaries of
County Service Area No. 23.
NOW, THEREFOR~, BE IT ItESOLVED that the territory described in Exhzbit
"A" designated as 80-18 CSA #23 Pleasant Val~ey Drainage District Aru~exation -
Foothill Park Unit No. 1 is hereby annexed to and included within the boundaries
of County Service Area No. 23 (Pleasant Valley Drainage).
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said ~erritory sha11 be taxed to pay
any indebtedness or liability of County Service Area No. 23 ~~leasant Va11ey
Drainage) prior to or existing at the time of annexation.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said.territory shall pay $9,081.76
to.Butte.County for drainage area per acre assessments as a condition of
this,.annexation.
