The Directox wi~.l SEL~CC and employ a State Forest 0£ficer to represent both parties during Che period oE this Agreement aad that O~~icer so se}.ected sha11, c~nder the supervision and dzrection of the Direc~or or ~is ~.awful represen:tati~e, have charge oE the organization described in Schedules A and B, attached hereto and made a part hereo£~ for the puzpose af providing fire protection services as deemed neces- sary to satisfy the needs o~ both the 5tate and of the Local t~ ency, except upon those lands wherein oCher agencies of government have responsibility for the same or simi~ar fire protecti.on services. VI LOCAL AGENCY FYlt~ PROTECTION APPROPR~ATIONS Any other funds appropriated by the Local Agency whzch are to be expended under the s~perv~,sion of, or for the use o~E, a State Forest Officer for fire pretec- tipn services during the term oE this Agreementi shall be set ou~ i.n this ~greement and marked Schedu~.e C. XII MiJTUAL ,AID S,~hen rendering mutual aid or assistance as author3zed in Secrion I3050 and 13054, Hea1Ch and Safeey Cade, the Staee may, on ~equest of the Local. Agencv, demand payment of charges and seeic reimbursemenr of Loca~ Agency costs £~r personnel as fe~nded herein, under authority gf.ven by Secti.an 13051 and 13054, Health and Safety Code. Ths State, in seeking sai.d reimbursement will represent the Local Agency Sn ~o].Iowi,ng the procedures set forth in Section 13052, Hea1Ch and.Safety Code. All services and directly re~ated 2xpenses provided by the SCate for the benefft of t~ie I,ocal Agency, btith year l.ang and seasonal, iz~c3.uding: S~ate equipmen~, personnel and buildings; the operation and nsaf.ntenance of equi.pment provid~d by the Lacai Agency; vclunteer or other local fire forces and all related expenses bo~ne directly by the State and to be refmbursed by the Local Agency, shall be shown ~ separately and the tota~ o£ all. services and zelaCed costs s~al~ not exceed the amount shown in Section II~, aforamantioned. A"State-awned vehicle" is anq vehicle awned and regis~ered in the name of the SCaCe of Ca].i,fornia. A. In the case ef State-owned vehic~.es aperated on behal~ of the Lacal Agency and listed in Schedu~.e A, the agreed cost ot operation sha~l inc3.ude a].1 costs per- taining to running, repairing, rep7.acing~ aad insuring the aforesaid vehicles. B. In the case o£ ttse Local Agency-owned vehic}.es operated by the State on isehalt ot the Lacal Agency for the agreed costs as seC forth in Schedule A: (Z) The State Shatl; a. Provf.de gasoline, oil, lubrfcation, batCeries, tixes, and tubes; b. Repair, exchange oz rep~.ace, when necessary, ~otaxs, hases, pUmps, spoCli.ghts, si.rens, fi,re exLinguishers, a~d all other accessories a~Fixed to or suppLied with the aforesaid velticles when tha latter were accepted by the StatE for aperation under Schedule A; excepting facilities or accessories not common to tne use of the State, and radio ins~alla~ions original~y provided by the ~,acal Agency.. In the event the State determiaes that a vehi.cle is nat fit for further use because af obsolescence or a wreck, the State shall nat be required to repair the vehi.c~e or maintain it in use.
