from the Department of Housing and Urban DeveZopment, U.S. Government,
pursuant to the provisions af Title I of the Housing and Community Develapment
Act of 1974 (p,L. 93-383) and has accepted such grant to implement a Community
~evelopment B.lock Grant Program withfn the county; and
WNEREAS, the Butte County Communfty Action Agency proposes ta
op~rate a Minor Home Repair Program for the benefit of low income persons; and
WNEREAS, the Cnunty of Butte desires to contract with the Butte County
Community Action Agency to perform minor home repairs within the county's
1980-81 61ock gN~nt target area in south. Orovilie,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that this Board authorizes the
County Administrative Officer and the Community Act9on Agency Director to enter
into an agreement for implementing a Minor Home Repair Program within ~he
county's 2980-81 block grant target area in south Oroville, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Board authorizes a grant of $33,075
from the I980-81 Community ~evelopment Slock Grant to low income residents
qualifying for services pursuant to the agreement establishing the Minor Home
Repair Program.
