County General Plan Housing Element in 1974; and
WHEREAS, it is deemed desirable ~o revise tl7e I-tousing
Element; and
WHEREAS, this Board hired a consultant in 1977 to prepare
a revised Ilousing Element; and
WHEREAS, a final draft of said revised Housing Element
was submitted to the Department of Housing and Cou~munity Development
in October of 1979; and
41HEREAS, this Board requested an extension of time of 90
days from the Dizector o~ Housing and Community Development in
Apri1 of 19a0 in order to a1.1ow th.e Department of Houszng and
Com~.unity Deve~.opmen.t to complete its review and to provide time to
conduct a public heazing, whzch extension was granted; and
WHEREAS, the co~nments received fro~n the Department o~
Housing and Community Development were not made available to the
County until June of 1980; az~.d
WHEREAS, the comments back from the DeparCment of Housing
and Community Aevelopment request revisions be made to the draft
Housing Element;
NOW, '~H~REFORE, BE IT RLSOLVED that:
1. Tk~.is Board requests an extension of time of one
year in which to complete and adopt the revised Butte County General
Plan. Housing ElemenC.

2. Pending comgletian of the revision to the existing
Sutte Coun~y General Plan Housing Element, the policies and procedures
which the County wi11 use to insure land use approvals granted prior
to the completion of the revised Housing Element are consistent with
~he General P1an,are those as set forth in the current Housing Element
and Land Use Element for the Butte County General Plan.
3. That Bettye Blair, Butte County Housing Director,. is
authorized to act as a contact person with the Office of Planning
and Resea~ch.
