WHEREAS, the Soard of Supervisors of the Gounty o~ Butte intends to consider
a proposal for the establa.shment of a counCy service area for stox'm drainage mainten-
ance, the boundaxias of whi.ch are hereinafter described; and
WHEILF~,AS, no proceedin.gs for the estabZishment of such service area sha11. be
instituted by this Board or requested by its membexs uzttiJ. approvaZ of the Loca1 Agency
Formation Coa~ission is first obtained;
NOW, fiHEREEORE, BE IT RESOLVED AND ORDERED BY THE BUTTE COTJNTY BOARA OF
SUPERV'ISORS as Eollows:
1. Applicat~.on and a progosal is hereby made to the Loca1 Agency Formation
Commission i.n accordance with the Knox-I3esbit Act, beginning with Government Code
Section 54773, for establishment of County Service Area Number 79. The extera.or
boundaries of the proposed service area are descri,bed a.n Exhi,bit "A" ati~ached hereCo
and made a part hereof by this reference.
2, Estab].ishment of sa3.d service area is proposed undex Gou nty Service Area
Law (Chapter 2.2, Part 2, Division 2, Ti~le 3 of tihe Government Code beginning with
Secti,on 25210.1). The type of extended service proposed to be px'ovided i.s storm
drainage.
3. fihe Clerk of the Board is auehorized and directed to file a certified
copy o£ this resolut9.on with the Executive Officer of ~he Butte County Local Agency
Formation Commission.
