WHER~AS, pursuant to Ta~le 3, Divi~ion 2, Part 2, Cha~~.e~ 3 of ~he
Cavernment Code a-~ the S~ate of Galifornia, the Board by its own motian has
initiated proceedings for the establa.sh.ment o~' county service areas; and
WHEREAS, the Local Agen.cy Formation Gommission and Butte County h.ave
appraved the formation of Coun~~r Serva.ce .A.reas No. '77 and 78 for s~ree~la.gh~s.
NOW, THERE~'ORE, IT ~S H~R~B~ RESOLVED tha~:
1. County s~rvice areas~are proposed ~o be estab~.ished under the
~erms af ~1ne aforesaid chapter in the unincorpoxated area of But'~e County:
The boundary l~.nes o£ the t~rritories proposed for inclusion in the area are
in. Exhibi~ "A" attached. hereto and made a part Yzereaf by this refexence.

4. The Board intends to levy a serva.ce charge to pay for services
ir~ each of these areas. The servi.ce charge will be assessed in acco~aanc~ with
~overnmen-~ Cod.e Sec~ion 252~0.77a and. Butte Caunty Cade Sec'~ian 2~-85 ~hrough
21-90. A public hearing on ~he report regarding service charges w;~11 b~ held
concurren~ly wa.th ~.he serva.ce area formation h.~aring.
