BUTTE COUNTY PERSONNEL RULES
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors finds it to be ~n the
interest of the county to amend the Personnel Rules.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the Board of Supervisors
of the County of Butte hereby amends Section 9..1(b) of the Personnel
Rules of the County of Butte to read as follows:
9.1 COMPOSITION OF APPEALS COMMISSION
b. The Commission shal7 be appointed by the Board
and shall consist of (5) f~ve members and (3) three
alternates. Nominations ~o the Board for Commission
appointments shall be ~ade in the following manner:
{2) two members and (1) one al~ernate nominated by
the management council; (2) two members and {1) one
alternate nominated by mutual agreement of the
recognized e~ployee organizations in the cvunty.
It shall be the respons3bility of the empToyee
organizations to establish their own procedures to
resolve the nomination issue when mutual agreement
cannot be reached. The (4) four member nominees
shall nominate a fifth member and (1) one alternate
by mutual consent. If agreement cannot be reached
on the member or the alternate, each nominee shal7
submit a name to the Clerk of the Commission and
the nomination shall be made through the efforts
of the State Conciliation Service. Any costs incurred
shall be d9v9ded one-half ~o the county and one-half
to the recog~ized employee organizations involved.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors
this ~ 16thday of December , 1980 by the following vote
to be effective December 16> 1980:
