HomeMy WebLinkAbout81-030RESOLUTION FOR PRIORITY PLAN FOR EXPENDrTUEiE UNDER ~ PROV2SZONS OF THE CALZFI7RNIA PARKLAI3DS ACT OF 1.980 WHEEiEAS, the Cala.fornia Parklands Act of, 19g0 requires that each county shaZl consult with all cities and districts within the County which are e].igible to receive grant funds under provisions of Section 5og6.Z56 of the Act and develop and submit to the State for approval a priority pIan for expenditure o£ the county's allocation; and WHEREAS, said priority plan as set forth in Exhibit "C" refl~cts consideration of de£iciencies within the county in the preservation of historical resources and natural landscapes as we11 as in the provision of recreational areas and facilities; and wHEREAS~ said priority plan sha11 also reflect regional park or open-space needs as we11 as community and neighborhood park and recreation needs in any county in which a regional park or open-spaee d9.stxict is wholly or partially located; and WfIEREAS~ the County o£ Sutte has consulted with said ci~ies and districts and has prepared a priori~y plan for expenditure o£ the county's allocation which re£lects the de£iciencies and needs required by the Program and includes expenditures by eligible cities and districts, said priority p12n being attached hereto and marked Exhibit "A," and WHEREAS~ said prioritY p~.an has been approved by at least fi£ty percent (50~~ of the cities and distric~s representing fi£ty percent (50~~ of ~.he population o~ the cities and districts w:ithin the co~.uzty, said approval being shown on E~ibit "B" attached hereto. NOW~ TfiEREFORE, HE IT RESOLVED that this Board of Supervisors does hereby approve the priority plan for the expenditure of the county's a1~.ocation of ~unds under the California Parklands Act of 1980; and BE IT FOitTHER RESOLV~D that ~he Clerk of the Board of SupesRrisors is hereby author~zed and dzrected ~o £orward a cert~fzed copy of ~his resolution along with Exhibit A and B~o the State Department of Parks and Recreation.
