OF THE REFERENDUM PETITION ELECTION WITH THE STATE
QF CALIFORNIA GENERAL ELECTION TO BE HELD ON TUESDAY,
NOVEMBER 3, 1981
WHEREAS, this Board has received the Clerk's Certificate
relative to a referendum petition, a copy of which is attached
hereto as Exhibit "A" and incorporated herein as if set forth in
full; and
WHEREAS, this Board has decided noC to repeal Ordinance
No. 2~.74, which is the subject of the aforementioned referendum
petition;
NOW, THEREFOR~, BE IT 1tESOLVEU, as follows:
].. That a referendum election shall be held on the afore-
mentioned Ordinance No. 2174 at the General Election on November 3,
1.981. This referendum election shall be consolidated with the
community college election and with any State elections also held
on said date.
2. The ballot measure shall read as follows:
Sha11 Ordinance No. 2174, which rezones NO
land in the Butte Creek Canyon from FR-5
ro PAC, be adopted? YES
3. That in the areas affected by this consolidation order
the e~ection should be held in a11 respects as though there was only
one election and the County Clerk of the County of Butte is hereby
ordered and direc~ed to provide accordingly within the territory
affected by said conso~idation, the elction precincts, polling places
and voting booths for each of said elections hereby consolidated and
to provide for one set of election officers in each of the precincts
affected by this consolidation order.

4. That the County Clerk shall canvass or cause to be
canvassed the return of said county-wide elections and shall
certify said canvass of the vo~es cast.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors
this 24th , day of February , i981, by the following vote:
AYES: Sugervisox's Dolan, Lemke, Saraceni, Wheeler and Chairman ~foseley
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
