1980
1981 - 1982 funding
WHEREAS, the Legislature of the State of California has enacted the State Solid
Waste Management Act of 1980 which provides funds to certain entities for litter clean-
up, litter law enforcement, public awareness and education, and puxchase of littex
xeceptac7,es; and
WHERF,A,S the State Solid Waste Management Board has been de~.egated the responsi-
bility for the administrat£on of the progra~a, sekting up necessary procedures governing
appJ.ication by J.oca7, agencies undex the program; and
W}iEli.F~S, said procedures established by the State Solid Waste Management Board
require the applicant to certify the approval of applications prior to submission of
said applications ta the state;
NOW, TH~REFOR~, BE IT RESOLVED that the Butte County Board of Supervisors:
7.. Approves the filing o£ an application for funding under the 5tate Solid ~'aste
Management Ack Fund; and
2. Certities that said ageacy understands the general provisions of the grant
agreement; and
3. Authori,zes the Da,rector o~ Pub~.ic Works, Clay Castleberry, as agent of Butte
County to conduct all negoti,ati.ons, execute and submit a11 documents including
but not limited to applications, grant agreement~ amendments and payment
requesCS, which may be necessary far the completion of the aforementioned program.
