RESOLUTION OF ~NTENT~ON TO ORDER TMPROVEMENT IN
WOODRIDGE RANCH ESTATES ASSESSMENT D~STRZCT
The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte reso~ves:
This Baard intends ta order the fc~Ilowing impravement under
the authori.ty of the Mun~.ca.pa~ xmprovement Act o~ 19i3:
The construction of streets, incl.uding c~.earing, excava--
~ion, grading, bas~ pavem~nt, ~oadsid~ and autfa3.~. d~ain-~
age, pipes and ditches, togather with aZ~ necessary in3.e~s,
manholes, barricade and other appurtenances ~or a comp~.e~e
scheme af street impravements and storm drainage ~'aca~li.ties
wzthin the bour~daries o~ said proposed district, genera3.ly
known as Wooclridge.
Clearing, e~cavation, grading, paving and ~ns~allation of
a systen~ of domestic water supply including fire hydrants,
~ va~.ves, services and a~l. other imp~ov~ments and appurten-
an.ces necassary for a coz~plete scheme af daFnesta.c water
supply facilities within the boundaries o~ said proposed
district.
The ~econst~uatian of 590 L.F. of Nimshew Road, including
clearing, excavation, grading, base pavem~nt, and replace
on existing concrete box culver~.
The acquis~tzon of any necessary rights-o~-way ~o accomp].ish
the foregoing ~or a comp~.ete sch~nne of improvements .
Tha.s Bvard finds that the land speci.al~.y benefited by the
improvement is shown within ~h~ boundarias o~ the map entit~ed,
"Proposed Boundaries o~ Woodr~.dge Ranch Estates Assessment Da.s~rict,
County of Hutte, Cali£orn~.a." This map has been appxoved by the
Board of Supervisoxs and is now on file w~th ~the County Clerk. The
land within the exterior bounda~a.es shown on ~he map shal~ be designat~d
Wocdr~.dge Ranch Estates Assessment District, Su~te County, California.
This Board intends to ~evy a special assessment upon the ~an.d
within the described district in accordance wzth the speci.a~. ben~fit

to be received by each parcel o~ land, respectively, ~rom the zmprove~
ment. There shal~ be amitt~d from special assessment all public
streets, a~~eys and pZaces and all land belonging to the Un~ted States,
~he 5tate of Ca~zfornia, and th~s County now in use in th~ perfarmanc~ .

Wh~~~ any disparity occurs in level or size between the
improvemen~ and privat~ property, this Board determxnes that it is
in the publ~c interest and more econamicaZ to eliminate the d~sparity
by daing work on the private property instead of adjusting the work
on pub~xc property. According~y, work may be dane an private property
for ~his purpose wi~h the writ~en consent of the landowner.

This Board appo~nts Clay Castleberry, Director of Public
Wo~ks of tha County of Butte as Eng~neer ox Work, and G W Consulting
Engineers as Proj~ct Engineer for this project, and directs the prepara~
tion of th~ report required by S~ction ~0204 of the Streets and Highways
Codee
In the opinion of this Board, the public interest wi1~ not be
served by al~owing owners of assessable ~ands to ~nt~r into a con-
~ract ~or the work of improvement, as otherwise pe~mitted in Section
10~02.2 of the St~eets and Highways Code.
The amo~n~ ot any surplus remaining in the improvement fund
after co~p~e~ion of the improvement and payFn~nt of all c~aims sha1~ be
transfezred to ~he general fu~d i~ the surplus daes no~ e~ceed the
Z~ss~r of one tho~sand do~~ars ($I000) or ~ive percen~ (5~) o~ the
total amo~nt ~xpended from the fund. O~herwise ~he ~ntire surplus
sha~l be app~ied as a c~edit on th~ assessment as pzovided in Sec~ion
10427.1 of th~ Streets and Highways Code. ~
