HomeMy WebLinkAbout81-154GIHEREAS, the Board o€ Supervisors has heretofore and hereby
determines that the public interest, convenience and general welfare
requires that new public library buildings and faciliCies be
constructed for the County together with parking facilities and
site development, landscaping, utilities, equipment furnishings,
improvements and a1Z appurtenances and related facilities (herein
called the "Project"); and
WI-IERBAS, the Board of Supervisors has heretofore authorized
the design of and the preparatiion of plans and specificaeions for
the Project and authorized the formation of the Butte County Library
Corporation (herein called the "Corporation") to provide for the
financing of the project; and
WHEREAS, the Corporation has obtained public competitive bids
for construction of the project and has by Resolution Nos. 10, 11 and
12, all adopted June 25, 1981, approved the form and authorized the
distribution of the Official Statement, Official Notice of Sale, the
Site Lease, the Facility Lease and Indemnity concerning the
Corporation's issuance of lease revenue bonds for the project and
authorized an official representative of the Corporation to receive
bids for such bonds; and
WH~REAS, the County and the Corporation have determined that %
the Corporation's financing of the Project shall be limited to provide
for the cost of construction of the new library buildings only and
does not provide for other costs associated with the Project,
including those for furnishings, equipment and other appurtenances
and reiated facilities;
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING APPRdPRIATIdN OF COUNTY FUNDS,
AND THE USE OF EXISTING FACILITIES, EQUIPMENT AND
FURNISHINGS OWNED BY THE COUNTY TO PROVIDE FOR THE
COMPLETION OF THE CHICO AND GRIDLEY LIBRARIES

NOW, THEKEFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors
of the County of Butre, as ~ollows:
l. All of the re~itals herein contained are true and
correct and this Board of Supervisors so finds and determines.
2. The Boaxd o~ Supervisors determines that it wi11,
through the appropriation of County funds, and/or the use of
existing fa~iliries, equipment and furnishings owned by the
Coun~y, and thzough any other appropriate means available to it,
fully provide for all other facilities, equipment, and furnishings
and payment o~ all costs necessary for the completion of the
Froject for its viable use as library fa~i~ities for the County.
