HomeMy WebLinkAbout81-158RESOLUT~ON OF THE COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISO~S WHER~AS, the County of Butte desires to undertake a certain project designated Burte County Victim Witness Program to be funded, in part, fxom funds made avai~able through Chapter 713, 1979 Statutes (California Victim/Witness Assistance Program administered by the Office of Cximinal Justice Planning, hereafter re~erred to as OCJP). NOW, THEREFORE, BE TT RESOLVED that the Chief Probation Officer of the Butte Co~nty Probation Department is authorized, on ~ts behalf, to s~bmit the attached application for state ~unds for tihe purpose of the Victim/Witness Assistance Program and is author- ized to execute on behalf of Butte County Probation Department, the attached contract for Victim/Witness Assistance Program purposes zne~uding any extensions or amendments thereof. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that state funds received hereunder shall not be used to supplant local funds that would, in the absence of the Ca1i£ox~nia Victim/Witness Assistance Program, be made avai~- able to support the assistance of victims and witnesses of crime.
