RESOlUTION OF THE BOARO OF SUPSRVISORS
RfCOGNIZING ACHIEVEMENTS OF
NANCY DARBY
PTNE RI~GE 4-H CL116
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte recognizes the importance of
the 4-H Club Program to help yaung people devetop their maximum potential by emphasizing learning
by doing so they are better able to lead satisfying Zives as responsible members af society; and
WNEREAS, the Board of Supervisors recognizes the impartance of the Uiamond Star as the
top state 4-H rank which 9s awarded to outstanding members of 4-H Clubs.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board af Supervisors of the County af Butte that
they recognize Che achievements of Nancy Darby of the Pine Ridge 4-H Cluh in being awarded the
Uiamond Star for her demonstrated qualities of leadership and wil'Ifngness Lo assist. This 8oard
bel9eves that Nancy has demonstrated the qualities of leadership and the wi~linaness to serve
other 4-H memhers; has demonstrated inittat9ve and x~illingness to assume responsibility; has
demonstrated caring and wi119ngness to be of service to others; has demonstrated a wiilingness
to accept challenges in serving her club and her cammunity and has successfully achieved the goals
and is a model to others in meeting the challenges of the 80's.
BE IT FIiRTHEft RESOLUEO that the congratulat9ons of this Beard be extended to Hancy Darby
and her parents Marion and Virginia ~arby for these ~outstanding achievements in being awarded the
Diamond Star.
PASSE~ AND A~OPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this 23st day of July, 1981,
by the foilowing vote:
