RAZLROAD UNIIERPASS PRO,T~CT IN STIP
BE IT RESOLVED that tlie Butte County Board of Supervisors suppoxts
the appeal of Caltrans and the City of Oroville to include the Aoute 162
Railroad Underpass Project in the current State Transportation Improvement
Program. Butte County concurs with and emphas~zes the need £or this project
and asks the California Transportation Commission to recognize tha.s as did the
federal government zn approving Econom3c Growth Funds for this project.
Butte County asks that the project be.reinstated in the STIP finding
that funding is available and asks that Ca7.tra[ts be encouraged to meet the
required schedules for the use of these funds ox ta use whatever innovative
alternatives necessary to achieve the project that a7.7. recognize as needed.
The Boar@ of Supervisors hereby authorizes C1ay Castleberry, our
Puhlic Works Director, to express this support and join in the appeal for
reinstatement of this pro~ect.
