The Board of 5upervisors of th~ Co~nty of B~tte resolv~s:
This Board intends ~o o~der the fo].~.ow~.ng improverr~ent under
the authority of the Municipal ~mprovement Act of 1913:

This Board finds that the land specia~ly benefited by the
a.mp~oveme:nt zs sha~,m within the boundaries of the map enti~l,ed,
"Proposed Boundary Map o~ Lakeridge Village Assessment District,
County of Butte, S~ate o~ California." This map has been appzoved
by the Board of Supe~visors and zs now on fzle wi~h the County C~erk.
The land ~,rithin the ex~exior boundaries shown on the map sha~.1. be
designated Lakeridge VilZage Assessment ~is~ric~, County of Butte,
S~ate of Califa~n~,a.
This Board intends to levy a specia~. assessment upon the
~and within the described distric~ ~.n accordance with ~he special
b~ne~it to be received by each parceZ o~ 1.and, ~espec~.ively, ~ron~
the improver~ent. There shall be omitted ~rom special assessment
alZ pub~ic streets, alleys and p3.aces and a11 ~.and belonging to the
United Sta~es, the Sta.te of Cali~ornia, and ~his County now in use
in the performance o~~a public function.

Wh~r~ any disparity occurs in level or size between the
zmprovement a~d private property, this Board determines ~hat it is
in ~he public interest and more eaonomical to e~iminate the d~sparity
by doing work on the p~ivate property instead of adjustang the work
on public proper~y. Accordingly, wark may be dane on private property
for this puzpose with the writte~ consent of the landowner.
Serial bonds ~epr~senting unpaid ass~ssments o~ on~ hundred
fifty dollars ($150) ar more, and bea~ing interest at a rate not ta
exceed ten Qe~c~nt (1Q~) per anri~, or such higher amount as may be
permi~ted by state law at the time o~ ~he sale of the bo~dsr wi11 be
issued in ~~.e manner provided in ~he ~mprovement Act of Z9~1 (Part 5
of Division 7, Streets and Highways Code), and the last insta~lment
of the bonds sha~l ma~~~e fourteen (~~) years fxom the second day of
January next succeeding the next September 1st £ol~owing their
date. The bqnds shall be payable to bearer and shall inc~ude a
redemption premium o~ five percent (50) of the unmatured principal.
In case o£ default, theze shal~ be addad to ~he defau~ted
amount two percent ~2~) ~f the amount thereof, and an the lst day of
each month foZlowing such defaul~, there sha1Z be added a fuxther
penaZty of two percent (2~) of such defaul~ed amoun~. The twa pe~-
cent (2~) penalty firs~ ~mposed shall be r~tain~d by the Treasurer as
a cost of servicing the delinquency and all subsequent penalties shall
be pa~d to the hold~r of the bond along with and as a part of such
defaulted paynnent. ~

This Board appo~n~s Clay Castleberry, Director of Public
Works of the County o~ Butte as Engineer o~ Work, and.G.D.A.,
Engineering, Surveying and Planning as Project Engineer for this
projec~, and directs the preparation of ~he xeport required by
Section ~0204 0~ the Streets and Highways Code. .
~n the opinion of this Board, the pubZic interest will not be
served by al~owing owners of assessab~e lands to enter into a con-
tract for the wark of improvemen~~ as otherwise permitted in Section
1D5~2.2 of the Streets and Highways Code.
The amount o~ any surp~us remaining in the ~rnpxovement ~und
a~ter completion of the improvement and payment of aIl c~aims sha~1 be
trans~erred to ~he genera~ fund i~ th~ surpl~s does not e~ceed the
lesse~ of one thousand da~laxs ($1000) o~ five nercent ~5%) of th~
total amount expended frQm the fund. Othe~wise the en~i~e surp~us
shall be applied as a cred~t on ~he ass~ssment as provided in Section
10427.1 of the Streets and Highways Code.

z HEREBY CERTIFY thaf the foregoing reso~ution was duly and
reg~larly adopted by the Baard o~ Supervisors of ~he County af Butte,
State of California, at a regular meeting thereof, held on ~he lst
day of Septembar, ~981, by the fo~~owing vote, to wit:
