development funds for housing reha6ilitation and for housing rehabilitation/
home purchase; and
WHEREAS, 6orrowers of such funds are Tn need of special training
in legal aspects of home mortgaqes, and in ~eneral aspects of home insurance
and home mainte~ance; and
WHEREAS, other residents of the County's Cornmunity Development
Project Area are in need of counseling assistance reqardinq housing resources
which are available; and
WHER~AS, the State Department af Housing and Community Development
is o~fering grants for Home Management Training Programs.
NOW, THEREFOR~, BE IT RESOLVED by the County of Butte Board of
Sapervisors that:
i. The Board hereb.v authorizes the submission of a proposal
to the State of California requestinq $15,000 for the provision of Butte
County Housin~ Seminars and Housing Counseling Services.
2. T~e Cha~rman of the Board is hereby auth.orized to accept
a grant from the State Department of Housing and Community Development
for this purpose, if funding is awarded.
3. The Chairman of the Board is here~y authorized to enter
into an agreement with the state in the acceptance of thi~s grant, after
such an agreement has 6een reviewed by County Counsel and ~he Coanty Auditor.
4. The Board authorizes Connerly & Associates, Inc. to
administer this program if i~ is funded.
