WHEREAS, ~he Butte County Roarc! of Supervisors recognizes•the need
for jail canstruction to provide proper ca~acity and program capab9lity; and
IdFEEREAS, ~3utte County is eligible to sutimit an application to the
Board of Corrections Co€~nty Jail Capital Expenditure Fund Grant Program.
NOW;_ THEP,EFORF, BE IT RES(?LUED that the Butte County Roard of
Supervisors:
1. Tntend to complete the p~anned Butte County ~ail construction
project shauld the grant funds be awarded in the amount of the application.
2. Appropriates the matching local funds in the amount of ~1,397,341
if the County ~Jai1 Caoital ~xpenditure Grant funrls are awarded to ~utte
County in accordance Nrith the grant application of Plovember 1, 19~1,
