HomeMy WebLinkAbout814ORDINANCE NO.~ 1 AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE 1962 NATIONAL ELECTRICAL CODE AS APPROVED BY THE AMERICAN STANDARDS ASSOCI- 2 ATION AS THE ELECTRICAL STANDARDS OF BUTTE COUNTY 3 4 The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of 6 California, do ordain as follows: E' That Chapter 7A, Section 7A-1 shall be added to the County 7; Code of Butte County, and shall read as follows: 8 11CHAPTER 7A 9 Building Standards 10' Section 7A-1. The 1962 National Electrical Code, 11 as promulgated by the American Standards Association, 12 is hereby adopted by reference, as the Electrical Code 13 of the County of Butte and is adopted pursuant to 1~ Section 17951 of the Health and Safety Code of the 15 State of California, and that said Electrical Code 16 shall supercede and take the place of, and be in. 17 effect and in stead of Sections 17700 to 17800 of 18 the Health and Safety Code, and Sections 2300 to 2606, Z9 inclusive, together with the tables attached thereto 20 of the State Housing Act referred to as Title 8 of the 21 California Administrative Code. (A11 of said sections 22 commence at page 480 and end at page 735 of the State 23 Housing Law and Building Regulations)" 24 25 It is further ordained by the Board of Supe rvisors of the 26 County of Butte, State of California, that this Ordinance shall be 27 and it is hereby declared to be, in full force and effect from and 28 after this time of its passage, pursuant to the urgency hereinafte 29 found. and declared. That this Ordinance is for the immediate 3~ preservation of the health and safety of the residents and inhab- 31' itants of Butte County. That the facts constituting the urgency 32 are as follows: ~~ 1 ~ 9 10! The Clerk of the Board of Supervisors is hereby authorized and directed to-cause this Ordinance to be published with the name of the members voting for and against the same, at least once in the Oroville Mercury Register , a newspaper published in the County of Butte, prior to fifteen (15) days after its passage.
