The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of California, under and pursuant to Ordinance No. '~75 of said County being the Zoning En- abling Ordinance of said County as amended by Ordinance Nos. 522 and 676 does ordain as follows: SECTION 1. The hereinbElow described area situate in the County of Butte, State of California, shall be and is hereby zoned as an A-3 (Agricul- tural) District and such area shall be subject to the restrictions and re- stricted uses and regulations hereinafter specified and provided said areas so zoned being located in the unincorporated area of Butte County, State of California, and particularly described as follows; Beginning at the intersection of the north line of Section 6, T. 17 N. R. 4E and the centerline of the Western Pacific Railroad right-of-way; thence westerly along the Township line to the centerline of the Feather River; thence southerly along the centerline of the Feather River to its intersection with the centerline of Honeut Creek; thence easterly along Honcut Creek to 'its intersection with the centerline of the Western Pacific Railroad right-of-way; thence northerly along the centerline of the Western Pacific Railroad to the point of beginning. SECTION 2. The following regulations shall apply in an "A-3" District; 2.1 Uses permitted, (a) Single Family Dwellings (b) General farming, horticulture, commercial livestock, poultry production, warehouse and storage (c) Accessory buildings and uses pertinent to the permittted uses, including, agricultural processing plants. {d) .Housing facilities (including trailers} to accommodate only agricultural employees, and their families employed by the owner or operator of the. premises.; and provided further. that such housing facility shall be con- sidered accessory to the main building, but shall conform to the provision pertaining to required yard and open space for dwellings 2.2 The following uses subject ~tlp securing a Use Permit in-each case: (a) Golf courses and country clubs {b) Public or quasi-public uses including churches, firehouses, hospitals and clinics, parks and playgrounds, schools, public utility build- ings and professional buildings 2.3 Minimum Lot Area Required; Five (5) acres. except as designated in Section 3.I of this ordinance, SECTION 3. Additional uses permitted subject to the securing of a Use Permit in each case: 3..1 For property having frontage on U. S. Highway 40;x: General Com- mercial (C-2) uses; said commercial area shall be developed to proper grade to the existi;tg road and said area shall begin at the intersection of the Orovi7le-Gridley Road to a distance not to exceed three hundred fifty (350} feet south of the intersection. SECTION ~. This Ordinance is for the purpose of orderly progress and the owner of any property. zoned hereby may at any time petition the Planning Commission and the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte for rezoning; and the Planning Commission of the County cf Butte shall on each fifth anni- versary of the date of the adoption of this Ordinance, of, its own accord, review said Ordinance to determine whether or not any land zoned hereby should be rezoned to permit orderly progress. ~' / 7 81 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 SECTION S. All uses of land within the district nat Specifically authorized and permitted under Section 2 are, prohibited. SECTTON 6. Penalties for ,any violation of the zoning hereby imposed within the -istrict sha11 be as provided in the Zoning Enabling Ordinance, Ixi compliance with the provisions of the Zoning k~abling Ordinance, this Ordinance sha11 from and after its effective date become a supplement to and part of the Zoning Enabling Ordinance. SECTION 7• This Ordinance shall be. and it is hereby declared to be irk full force and effect from and after thirty (30) days after the date of its .passage, and before the expiration of fifteen (15) days after its passage this Ordinance shall be published once with the names of the members o£ the Board voting for and against it in the Gridley Herald , a newspaper published in the C4unt'y of Butte, ,State of California.
