NQW, ~H~REFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the Board o~ Supervisors of the County of But~e hereb~ amen~s Section 13.5 af the P~rsonn~I Rules of the County of Bu~~e ~o read as follaws: 13.~ HOLIDAY ~EAVE a. Des~gnated Halidays Each regular emp~aye~ an a compensated employment status on the assigned work day zznmediately preceding and the assigned work day irrunediate~y following a des~gnated ~oliday sha1~ be entitled ~o compensatzan for the designated ho~iday. RESOLUTION AMENDYN~ SECTIQN ~3.5 TO THE BUTTE COUNTY PERSDNNE~ RULES ln aaa~t~an to the aesigna~ea rioliaays each regular employee shall be entitled up to (3) three personal holidays per calendar year. Regular employees, employed as of January 1 of each year sha11 be credit~d w~th {3) three work days of persona~ halidays. Employees hired be~ween January 1 and April 3Q shall be cr~di~ed with (2) ~wo work days o~ personal holidays for the remainder of the calendar year. Emplayees hired between May 1 and Augus~ 31 sha1~ be credited with (1) ane work day af pe~sonal haZiday ~or the remainder of the ca~endar year. Employees hire~ between September 1 an~ December 31 sha~I receive no persona~ hol~day c~edzts ~ar the calendar year during wh~eh they were h~red. No employee sha11 receive more ~han (3) ~hree per~onal holidays in any calendar year. An appoin~~ng autho~ity may ~e~uire an employee to provide (14) ~our~een days natice in advance ~f the personal holiday. Tn ~he even~ of an emergency an appointing authori~y may deny ~he employee's personal ho~iday. Personal holidays shall be scheduled and taken of~ wi~hin the calendar year to which they are credited. Employees shall not b~ comp~nsated xn pay ~or personal holidays in lieu of ~ime off. Emplayees re~urning ~rom an approved extendea leave of absence shall be subject ~o this rul~.
