ELECTION,THE COUNTY OF BUTTE'S SPECIAL COUNTY CHARTER
AMENDMENT ELECTIONS
WHEREAS, the Chico City Council has passed a resolution
calling for an election for the purpose of submitting to the voters
the qvestion of amendment of the city charter to provide for the
compensation of Council members in an amount not to exceed Chae
provided for by the general laws of the state, said election to be
held on June 8, 1982; and
WHEREAS, the Chico City Council has passed a resolutio~
calling for an election for the purpose of submitting to the voters
an advisory measu~e relating to the sale of alcoholic beverages
within the bounda~ies of Bidwell Municipal Gol~ Course, said election
to be held on June 8, 1982; and '
WHEREAS, the Chico City Council has passed a resolution
calling for an election for the purpose of submitting to the voters
the qvestion of amendment of the city chattex to provide for the
election of council members from districts, rather than at large,
said election to be held on June 8, 1952; and
WHEREAS, the Chico City Council has passed a resolution
calling for an election for the purpose of submitting to the voters
the advisory measure relating to U.S. milirary aid to E~ Salvador,
said election to be held on June 8, 1982; and
WH~~EAS, the Chico City Council has passed a resolution
~alling ~or an election for the purpose of submitting to the voters
the advisory measute on prohibition of urban development west of the
"Greenline", said election to be held on June 8, 1982; and

WHEREAS, the Chico City Council has passed a resolution
calling for an election for the purpose of submitting to the voters
the question on campaign contribution limitations, said election to
be held on June 8, 1982; and
WHEREAS, the Paradise Town Council has passed a resolution
caLling for an election for the purpose of submitting Co the voters
th~ proposition ~or the enactment of a redevelopment agency, said
election to be held on June 8, 1982; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the Paradise Irrigation
District has passed a resolution ~aiL~~~ for an election for the
purpose of submitting to the voters the measlire of issuing revenue
bonds for impzovement of the District's water system, and calling a
special loan contract election, said election to be held on June 8,
1982; and
WHEREAS, the County of Butte has passed an ordinance calling
for an election for the purpose of submitting to the voters the
measure of amendment of the county charter to provide for the
consolidations ot otfices; and
WHEREAS, each of the aforesaid governing boards have requested
the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte to order the consolida-
tion of each ot the aforesaid elections with the State Primary Election
to be held on Tuesday, June 8, 1982;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDERED AND RESOLVED, by the Board of
Supervisors of the County of Sutte, State of California, as follows:
I. That the aforesaid elections called by the aforesaid
govexning boards for June 8, 1982, and by the Board of Supervisors,
shall be and the same are hereby consolidated with the State Primary
Election to be held on Tuesday, June 8, 1982.
2. T~aC the areas affected by this consolidation order the
election should be held in a~l respects as though there was on~y one
election and the County Clerk of the County of Butte is hereby ordered
and directed to provide accordingly within th~ territory affected bq
said consolidation, the election precincts, polling p~aces and voting
booths ~ox each of said eZections hereby consolidated and to provide
for only one set of election officers in each of th~ precincts
affected by this consolidation order.

3. That the County Clerk is further ordered and directed to
set forth in each form of ballot and sample ballot, to be used in said
~onsolidated elections, insofar as applicable, the City of Chico's
chartex amendment measures, the City of Chico's special sale of
aicoholic beverages measu~e, the City of Chico's U.S. military aid
measure, the City of Chico's campaign contribution limitations
measure, the Paradise Town Council's redevelopment agency measure,
the Paradise Irrigation District's meas~re of issuing revenue bonds
for special improvements in the district's water system and calling
for a special loan contract election, the County of Sutte's charter
amendment measures.
4. That the County Clerk shall canvass or cause to be
canvassed the return of said district elections and shall certify
said canvass of the votes cast to the respective governing boards.
5. That the County Clerk is further authorized to charge to
the respective districts the expense of the election or elections
attributable to said districts.

this 17th day of March , 1982, by the foilowing vote:
