WHEREAS, Section 6, Article XVI of the Constitution of
the State of California provides as follows:
"And provided, still fvrther, that notwithstanding
the restrictions contained in this Gonstitution,
the treas~rer o€ any city, county, or city and
co~nty sha11 have power and t~e duty to make such
temporary transfers from the funds in custody as
may be necessary to provide funds for meeting the
obligations incurred for maintenance purposes by
any city, county, city and county, district, or
other political subdivision whose funds are in
custody and are paid out soleiy through the
treasurer's office. Such temporary transfer o~
funds to any political subdivision shall be made
only upon resolution adopted by the governing body
of the city, county, or city and county directing
the treasurer of such city, county, or city and
county to make such temporary transfer. Such
temporary transfer of funds to any political
subdivision, sha11 not be made prior to the first
day of the fiscal year no~ after the last Monday
in April of the cuxrent fiiscal year, and shal~ be
replaced from the taxes accruing to such political
subdivision before any other obligation of such
political subdivision is me[ from such taxes."
W~I~REAS, certain funds ot political subdivisions are in
custody of and are paid out solely through, the Treasu~ex's office,
including County budgetary funds; and
WHEREAS, said funds may be in need of transfer as
referred to above;
NQW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by this Board as follows:
l. The Auditor and Treasurer are hereby di~ected to
transfex the amounts as may be necessary between the political
subdivzsions whose funds are in custody of the County treasury
pursuant to the constitutional provisions referred to above.
2. The Auditor and Treasurer are requested to report
periodically ro this Board regarding the status of such transfers and
~~e ef~ecr, if any, these transfers had on the financial positions of
the Counry.

by the Sutte County Boaxd of Supervisars by the following vote:
