THE COUNTY JUSTICE SYSTEM SUBVENTION
PRO~R~1'>APPLICA T ION
WHEREAS, the Cali£ornia Youth Authority has heen autharized
by the legislature to review apglzcations for participa~ion in
the County Justice System Subvention Program, and
WHEREAS, the California Youth Au~hority required assurances
that t~e state su~vention wi11 not take the piace of county funds
presently being expended fo~ the program incZuded in the funding
request.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors
of the County of Butte tha.t aI.1 funding requests_:.in;_the county's
application as approved on April 6, I982 , are for new programs
or for programs mandated by Chapter 1071 of the 1976 Statutes,
or for programs funded ~y federal manpower funds.
PASSED AND ADOPTEU the 6~h day of April , 1982, by the

the Advisory Group and the Chief Probation pfficei on comp~.etion of the
app~.ication to be submitted to the.Youth Authority; in add~tion, ongoing
program information wi13. be provided to the Depar~ment of Youth Authority.
This staff person also monitors al.l phases of the progxam, provides re-'
ports,~sets up meet~.ngs, and disseminates inform~tion to Ad~isory•Graup
members, b~sides computing necessary app~.ications. Ha1f-time clerk per-
