HomeMy WebLinkAbout82-090RESOL~TION APPROPRTATING MONIES TO COUNTY SERVICE AREA ~OAN FUN~ FOR COUN7Y SERVTCE AR~A N0. 24 WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors, pursuant ~o Resalu~ion No. 75-82, estabtished a County Service Area Loan Revo7ving Fund; and WH~REAS, Government Code ~25210.9c provides ~hat a County may appropriate any of its available monies to such fund in an amount not to exceed $500,000; and ~HER~AS, sa7d ~25210.9c further provides that said revoTving fund sha13 be reimbursed from monies made available from a benefit~ng service area and that no sums shall be disbursed from the revolving fund until the Board af Supervisors has, by resolution, established a method by and term (not exceeding five years) within which the Coun~y Service Area is to reimburse the revolving fund, and spec~fied tha~ ~he Service Area sha]] also reimburse the funds for interest at the current rate per annum received on similar types of investme~ts, as detert~ined 6y the County Treaspr.er; and WHEREAS, the B~tte County Board of Supervisors had dstermined that there is a need to provide monies for County Service Area No. 24 to clear and remove gravel and sand deposits in the Chico-Mud Creek Diversion Flood Cantro1 Facilities. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RE50LVE~ by the Sutte County Board of Supervisors that: ~. There is hereby appropriated, from the Coun~y General Fund Appropriation for Con~ingencies to the County Service Area Revolving Fund, the sum of $10,000. 2. The sum of ~1~,000 is to be dis6ursed from the Revolving Fund to County Service Rrea No. 24 to clear and remove gravel and sand deposits i~ the Chico-Mud Creek Diversion Flood Control Facilities. 3. The sum disbursed to County Service Area ~o. 24 sha1Z be reimbursed by County Service Area No. 24 to the Revalv9ng Fund according to authorized statutes. 4. County Service Area No. 24 shall also reimburse the Revolving Fund for interest at a rate per annum equal to that earnEd by the County on similar types of investments, as determined by the County Treasurer. 5. As the money is reimbursed to the Revolving Fund by County Service Area ~o, 24, the County Auditor is directed to transfer such money from the Revolving ~und to the County Genera1 Fund.
