desires ~o sustain a Community Action Ageney in the county; and
WHEREAS, the county desires to maximize the 6enefits levels of
the Head S~art, Senior Nutrition and other anti-poverty programs; and
WHEREAS, the California State Office of Economic Opportunity
has proposed a ceiling of 15% administrative costs on the Community
5ervices Black Grant, wh9ch eeiling wou~d effective7y diminish the amount
of funds fram other anti-poverty programs wfiich could be used for direct
benefits.
NOW, THEREFQRE, BE TT RESOLVED that the Soard of Supervisors,
County ofi B~tte, Caiifornia opposes the instatement of a 15% ceiling
o~ administrative costs under th~ Communfty Services Block Grant and
wishes to convey this message to the Ca3ifornia State Office af Ecanomic
Opportunity.
