HomeMy WebLinkAbout82-165WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors, pursuant to Resolution No. 75-82,
established a County Service Area Loan Revolving Fund; and
41HEREAS, Government Code Section 25210.9c provides that a County may
appropriate any of i~s available monies to such fund in an amount not to exceed
$500,000; and
WHEREAS, said Section 25210.9c further provides that said revolving fund
shall be reimbursed from monies made avaiZable from a benefiting service area and
that no sums shall be disbursed from the revolving fund until the Board of
Supervisors has, by reso7utian, estab~ished a method by and term (no~ exceeding
five years) w~thin which the County Service Area is to reimburse the revolving fund,
end specified that the service area sha11 also reimburse ~he funds for ~nterest at
~he current rate per annum receiv~d on similar types of investmen~s, as determined
by the County Treasurer; and
WHEREAS, the Butte Gounty Board of Supervisors has determined that there
is a need to maintain a balance in the revolving ~und; and
WHEREAS, the But~e Gounty Board of Supervisors has determined there is a
need to provide monies to County Service Area 67 for start up costs for a newly
~ annexed area.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT R~SOLVED by the Sutte County 8oard of Su~ervisors
that:
1. There is hereby appropriated, from the County General Fund Appropriation
for Contingencies to the County Service Area Revolving Fund, ~he sum of $21,200.00.
2. $1,200.00 is to be disbursed from the Revolving Fund to County Service
Area 67.
3. The sum disbursed to County Service Area 67 sha11 be refmbursed to the
Revolvi~g Fund according to authorized statutes.
4. County Service Area 67 shall also reimb.urse the Revolving Fund for
interest at a rate per annum equal to that earned by the Caunty on similar types of
~nvestments, as determined by ~he County Treasurer.

5. As the money is reim6ursed to the Revolving Fund by County Service
Area 67 or from any other county service area to which a loan has been made, the
County Aud3tor is directed to transfer any such monies which cause the cash balance
of the Revolving Fund to exceed $20,000.00 ~rom the RevoTving Fund to the County
Genera7 Fund.
