Industrial DisabiTity Leave Withou~ Pay Each regu7ar employee who is injured or contracts an industrial i~lness on duty shall be granted an unpa7d disab~lity leave by the appointing authority from the time accrued leave benefi~s are exhausted unti7 the emp1oyee is released to return to work or i~ is determined by a physician the emp7ayee may na~ return to norma7 work. Before granting industrial disability leave or au~horizing a return ta work, an appo7nting autharity sha11 consu1t with the Personne7 Direc~or. Employees sha~1 accru~ no benefi~s while in this s~atus excep~ as provided in thes~ rules. e.
