WHEREAS, Pexzal Code Section 987.8 has been amended, and
WHEREAS, such amendment requires enactment of a resolt~tion
to provide for the col~.ection of le~al assistance fees, and
WHEREAB, the Board of Supervisoss of ~he County of Butte
has determined that such ck~arges are necessary and justifiab2e,
ND'ni, THEREFORE, B~ IT RESOLYED, that, pursuant to Penal
Code Section 98'].8 (b), the Board af Supervisors hereb~ adopts
Pena1 Code'Section 987.$ as a guide for the reimbursement of all,
1e$aI ass~.stance pravided by the Public Defender and/or other
counsel as appoix~ted by the judicial system of the Count~ of Butte.
